The present study aimed to validate the Suicide Crisis Questionnaire-2 (SCI-2) in Iran. This descriptive-correlational study was conducted on 651 individuals over the age of eighteen residing in Tehran Province during the academic year 2024-2025. Participants were selected using convenience sampling. The instruments used included the Suicide Crisis Questionnaire-2 (SCI-2), Beck Suicide Ideation Scale (BSSI), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), and Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7). The localization process involved translation, back-translation, content review, and a pilot study. Descriptive statistics, Average Variance Extracted (AVE), and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were used to analyze the data. The results indicated that the fit indices in the confirmatory factor analysis suggested a good fit for the five-dimensional factor model. The Persian version of the Suicide Crisis Questionnaire-2 (SCI-2) has excellent validity in the Iranian non-clinical population and can be used as a scientific, reliable, and valid tool in clinical research, psychological screening, and intervention programs related to suicide prevention.
