The aim of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of schema therapy on emotional expressiveness and rumination in conflicted women in West Tehran. The present study is applied in terms of its purpose. This study is classified as a semi-experimental study and the research design is in two groups: experimental group and control group and includes two stages: pre-test and post-test. The statistical population of the study was conflicted women referring to psychological service centers and clinics in Tehran in the spring of 1404. Among them, 30 conflicted women were selected by convenient sampling method in the experimental group and the control group (experimental group 15 people and control group 15 people). The experimental group was provided with 10 sessions of schema therapy, 1 session per week, and the control group did not receive any training. The research measurement tools were the standard rumination scale questionnaire by Nolen Hoeksma and Maro and the emotional expressiveness questionnaire by King and Emmons, which were administered as pre-test and post-test in both groups. To assume the naturalness of the data, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used, and the homogeneity of variances was tested using the Levine test. The results of the findings show that schema therapy has an effect on emotional expressiveness and rumination of conflicting women in Tehran. (P<0.01). Therefore, group schema therapy training courses for conflicting couples can increase emotional expressiveness and reduce their rumination.
